Racing Tips – Wednesday Best Bets for Sandown

Racing is back at Sandown Racecourse on Wednesday for a meeting that will be conducted on a perfect track in magnificent spring weather.

Best Bet

6. Georgie Get Mad
Sandown R6 (3.20pm)

Georgie Get Mad looks really well placed here. The Denis Pagan trained import has been excellent at his two runs back from a spell and all his prior form suggests he should only get better out in trip. Third up he should be at peak fitness and with Blake Shinn riding from barrier three he will get every chance.

Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 4/5

More Racing Tips

9. Prinzerro
Sandown R2 (1.00pm)

Prinzerro’s form stands out in this race. The three year old has had three starts for three metro placings – all out of maiden company. His most recent start was a terrific effort at Moonee Valley behind Scentify, who came out and ran very well in listed company on Saturday. Jamie Kah will have to overcome the wide draw but this colt should have a bit on them.

Recommended Price: $2.20
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

8. A Pinch of Luck
Sandown R3 (1.35pm)

A Pinch Of Luck has been going very well since joining the Mitchell Leek camp. The mare has had three starts for a win and two second placings, the two most recent of which were on the synthetic at Pakenham, but given she won on the turf first up it is reasonable to expect her to bring that form here. She was scratched from a winnable race at Mornington to come here instead and looks a big price.

Recommended Price: $9.00
Confidence Level: 3/5

7. Farhh Flung
Sandown R5 (2.45pm)

This gelding has more talent than his record would have you believe and his recent jumpout at Colac behind a couple of handy types was excellent. The Danny O’Brien stable is firing at present and the booking of Blake Shinn is an interesting push. Can win.

Recommended Price: $5.50
Confidence Level: 3/5
