Racing Tips – Thursday Best Bets for Pakenham

We’re back on the synthetic at Pakenham races on Thursday, where a nicely bred first starter has caught the eyes from the trials.

Best Bet

4. Explosive Rosie
Pakenham R6 (3.30pm)

In-form galloper Explosive Rosie can win again. The locally trained mare has now won two of her last three starts at this track, with the defeat in between coming at the hands of the very talented Better Link. This is a handy sort of race but she remains the one they all have to beat.

Recommended Price: $3.00
Confidence Level: 4/5

More Racing Tips

1. Machinegun Krelley
Pakenham R1 (1.00pm)

Market has this ras a race in two between Machinegun Krelley and Mr Saxabeat and I’m in the camp of the former. MGK ran well first up at Sale in a handy form race and drops back to this weaker synthetic maiden. He’s run well on this track before. From barrier four he will get every chance in the run.

Recommended Price: $2.30
Confidence Level: 4/5

11. Moesha
Pakenham R3 (2.00pm)

Moesha is a superbly bred debutant by I Am Invincible out of the outstanding mare Princess Coup. Her most recent trial at Cranbourne was a most impressive win, making some handy enough horses looking second rate. Jamie Kah comes out for the ride, she’s short in the market but entitled to be.

Recommended Price: $1.60
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

1. Almighty Will
Pakenham R7 (4.00pm)

We were with Almighty Will in a much tougher race than this last start and he certainly ran well, finishing second to a handy one in Speedtail with a good gap back to third. That made it five starts for a win and three second placings here on the Pakenham synthetic, and he looks an excellent chance of bringing up his second win here.

Recommended Price: $4.50
Confidence Level: 4/5
