Jacksonville’s fairytale season can continue against a Kansas City team that appears to be overrated by the market.
Kansas City won the top seed in the AFC, but they lost to both the Bills and Bengals during the regular season. They were the beneficiaries of a very soft schedule that has flattered them.
Their last five weeks has seen them defeat the Broncos by one score (twice), the Texans in overtime, the Seahawks and the Week 18 Raiders.
Patrick Mahomes, of course, can still do Mahomes things, but the mediocre defence and special teams play of the Chiefs will come back to haunt them at some point.
Top seeds favoured by less than 10 points in the Divisional Round are a horrid 8-24-1 against the spread. Only twice in the last 20 years have both No.1 seeds won and covered.

The strength of the Jaguars has been their balance between the pass and the run. Running back Etienne is a weapon both as a runner and a pass catcher, while Lawrence gets a very attainable number to clear.

Cincinnati showed last year that you can come into Kansas City in the playoffs and beat the Chiefs. In many ways this Jags team is a more complete outfit than they were. Better than $4 for an upset here is very appealing.
