Racing Tips – Wednesday Best Bets for Sandown and Warwick Farm

Sandown - Expert Horse Racing Tips

It’s the last day of winter and racing in Melbourne is at Sandown with very heavy ground expected, while in Sydney at Warwick Farm the meeting will be conducted will be on a soft surface.

Best Bet

1. Cyclone Sally
Sandown R4 (2:45pm)

Cyclone Sally is a supreme wet tracker and she can win again on her preferred ground. She has won her last three starts on heavy ground in Melbourne, most recently an all the way win at Moonee Valley in open grade. She drops back to a fillies and mares BM78 here and with the 2Kg claim for Alana Kelly, 60Kg looks a winnable weight. Expect her to lead and take all the catching.

Recommended Price: $3.30
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

More Racing Tips

6. Miss Hellfire
Warwick Farm R2 (2:00pm)

Miss Hellfire drops back from Listed grade first up where she ran well to finish fifth. Over 1100m, the best part of her race was the last 100m, very encouraging given she is stepping up to 1300m, and she finished in between two subsequent Group 3 winners, Kibou and Sweet Ride. Dropping in class, she looks well over the odds.

Recommended Price: $3.80
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

3. Blow In
Sandown R3 (2:10pm)

Blow In comes back to metro racing off a dominant win at Geelong last start. Two starts back he finished a good third to El Rocko at this track and the form out of that race has been strong. Craig Williams retains the ride and while this is a deep race, he has a race fitness edge over key rivals.

Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

4. Atmosphere
Warwick Farm R5 (3:45pm)

Atmosphere returns to Sydney after two excellent runs in Melbourne, the first a maiden win where he beat a subsequent Listed winner, then running second at Sandown to the very promising Grand Impact. Expect that form will stand up here. She should go forward with Hugh Bowman and take a power of catching.

Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

8. Goliotus
Sandown R6 (3:55pm)

Goliotus is an emerging stayer who can win for the second time in seven days. The Mt Gambier trained gelding was a dominant victor at Bendigo last Thursday, leading all the way with a final margin of two and a half lengths. Most of these have pretty much met their mark with the handicapper, whereas Goliotus is still on an upward spiral. Looks a great bet.

Recommended Price: $3.50
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
